The Peak Performance meeting at Santa Pod (26th March 2010) Was our first opportunity to test the car for real. It was a cold and breezy day but dry, our first run resulted in a shutdown after just 60ft, due to engine problems, a push back to the fire up area and a quick trip back to the pits.  After an hours work, she fired and all seemed well. This time a brief burnout then into stage, it was apparent that something wasnt right, the engine was producing power but there was some horrendous clutch slip. We tried in vain to remedy the situation, but without spares we could only really test out the engine which seemed to be fine until the final run  where it seemed to drop a cylinder at the end of the track. Back at the workshops on the Monday and our beautiful car is now a big pile of bits, stripped down and being made ready for the Easter Thunderball in just a few days time.
